In May 2006, having previously achieved BS7799 certification, Hytec became one of the UK's first organisations to be certified to the replacement standard ISO 27001.

With effect from October 2005, ISO 27001:2005 replaced information security standard BS7799.

A Portfolio of ISO 27001 Services

Building on our experience of delivering BS7799 consultancy, Hytec’s team of BSI Certified Lead Auditors and CESG Certified CLAS Consultants now deliver a portfolio of services to guide organisations through the ISO 27001 process, culminating in an Information Security Management System (ISMS).  Hytec is a BSI Associate ISO 27001 Consultancy Scheme member

Information Security Workshop

• A one-day workshop to introduce Information Security Best Practice and the Route to ISO 27001 compliance. 

Attendees will understand the implications and benefits of security best practice, and be able to decide which parts of their organisation need to be addressed.

High-Level Plan to Achieve ISO 27001

• Consultancy to develop the first stage of a formal project plan defining the activities and effort require to achieve ISO 27001 compliance.

BS7799 to ISO 27001 Migration

• Consultancy to define actions required in migrating an Information Security Management System (ISMS) from compliance with BS7799-2:2002 to the new version of the standard, known as ISO/IEC 27001:2005.

Guidance along the Route to Registration

• Hytec consultants work with the Information Security Management Group, and other authority functions, to provide the information; assistance and tools required for ISO 27001 compliance and ongoing certification.

ISO 27001 Compliant Documentation

• Consultancy to produce Policies, Standards, Procedures and Processes that meet best practice and comply with the ISO 27001 standard.

Training and Awareness Programmes

• The development, management and staffing of security training and awareness programmes, for staff at all levels.
