Hytec

to announce SecureAccess,
the latest addition to its portfolio
of managed services. The launch
generated huge interest from organisations
as diverse as local authorities, police
authorities, banks, transport and other

SecureAccess - any time, any place
SecureAccess is
Hytec's SSL VPN Managed Service allowing
organisations to increase the mobility
of their workforce in the confidence
that, wherever they may be, they can
still obtain secure remote access to
their key business systems. It
also allows them to provide customers
or suppliers with encrypted remote access
to those network resources or business
systems they have been authorised to
access.
Simplicity of use
Authorised users with access to a web
browser - say from a home computer,
a remote office or an Internet café
- only need to type in the web address
of their private network. Security
then comes in the form of two-factor
authentication and the built-in SSL
security features of a standard web
browser.
For example, local authorities can now
use SecureAccess
to grant remote access to Councillors
wishing to review relevant minutes or
reports stored on the Authority's network.
Secure encrypted access to authorised
applications can now be achieved from
their home computer system, without
the need for any special software to
be pre-loaded in advance.
