BIG-IP

BIG-IP Controllers optimise server availability and performance, ensuring that applications and servers respond quickly, with the correct content.

BIG-IP sits between the network and server farm, continuously monitoring each server and/or network device to ensure availability and performance, and routes incoming queries to the most available server.

Today's e-commerce sites typically use a three-tiered environment: web servers, application servers, and database servers. The BIG-IP Controller provides the critical high availability and load balancing for all three tiers - providing total control from a single box.

The BIG-IP Link Controller is a dedicated IP application switch and manages bi-directional traffic to a site across multiple links, regardless of connection type or provider. It monitors the availability and health of links to optimally direct traffic across the best available connection. Granular traffic control across Internet gateways allows users to define how traffic is distributed across their links in a way that meets their business priorities.
