Supporting Excellence in Social Care

Our parent company, OLM Group, is the UK's largest independent supplier of information solutions for children's and adult services

OLM Group provides the CareFirst case management solution to adults and children’s services functions in 60 Local Authorities. We are active in ensuring secure connectivity and managing the network infrastructure and applications environment in many of these Authorities. We also provide data and information sharing solutions between CareFirst and applications held by other agencies.

Although technology is constantly developing, our teams have strong, collaborative relationships with most of the sector’s leading suppliers. As the infrastructure products and services arm of OLM, we benefit from domain knowledge and shared experience with colleagues elsewhere in OLM Group.

Sarah 2Every Child Matters

With capabilities in systems integration, information security and mobile applications delivery, we are uniquely able to facilitate information sharing for front line care workers by connecting care professionals with different computer systems, so they can interact with case relevant data, at the point of service delivery.

We share the aspiration for every UK child to be happy, safe and achieve its full potential in line with the Every Child Matters agenda.

With increased expectation for greater inter-agency co-operation between groups that share responsibility for the wellbeing of children – whether in terms of protection, support, healthcare or education – as well as programmes like eCARE, eCAF and Connecting for Health, it is important to ensure that information is accurate and up to date.

Our skills in systems integration, data sharing and mobile working allow care workers to have a single view of a service user’s history, gathered from disparate systems.

Think Local, Act Personal

We recognise the transformational changes that adults social care is undertaking and support the Think Local, Act Personal initiative to give more choice and control over services that people receive.

As such, we are actively supporting the Personalisation programme to provide support and information that enables citizens to make decisions about what services they require. We also support the Common Assessment Framework for Adults, believing it will enable better coordinated support and prevent unnecessary duplication of information collected by agencies.
