Supporting Community Health

We provide information solutions that facilitate the government's service transformation programme and improve delivery in community health services.

NHSWe recognise the valuable contribution that community health services provide - they are crucial to shifting the delivery of more personalised care to patients, they are vital in supporting patients' recovery from illness, and encouraging healthy living.

Our systems integration, mobile applications, information security and infrastructure management solutions are designed to support:

    • Community nursing such as District Nursing, Health Visiting and Community Matrons
    • Unscheduled care such as Walk in Centres, Polyclinics and Out of Hours Service
    • Specialist services such as Dental Services, Palliative Care, Physiotherapy, Podiatry, Sexual Health and many more

Systems integration for Polyclinic

At one London health trust, we have just completed a Proof of Concept demonstration to show how information held in different applications - CareFirst (social care case management), EMIS (GP and community health system) and Tyndale (Podiatry PAS system) - can be integrated for use in a new Polyclinic. In doing this we have made use of our integration engine to provide users with the ability to search for a patient, view summary details and patient information (compiled from the different applications) and book an appointment.  Information is pulled together and transferred in real time from every system.

Protecting patient data

We have just announced GPsecure, a new solution to secure network connections between GP surgeries and their Primary Care Trusts. GPsecure protects patient identifiable data (both within the practice and if transmitted outside the practice), provides GPs with secure remote access to practice systems when making patient visits, and allows PCTs to benefit from productivity savings by delivering remote support and administration services.
