actions required to achieve e-Gif compliance.

e-Government Interoperability Framework (e-GIF)
sets out the government's technical policies and
specifications for achieving interoperability
and information systems coherence across the public
sector. In essence, e-Gif defines the essentials
for achieving joined-up and web enabled government.
Socitm

is an active member of Socitm (The Society of
IT Managers), is a regular exhibitor at Socitm's
annual conference and sponsors a number of Branch
meetings.
Indeed,
choosing the Socitm 2003 autumn conference to
launch its new Internet Vulnerability Assessment
service, Hytec received expressions of interest
from 35 authorities within only two days of the
announcement.
During 2004, Hytec delivered a programme
of presentations to Socitm Branches on 'The Information
Security Implications of Joined-Up Government'
and
'Connecting to The NHSnet'.
At
the Socitm 2004 autumn conference, Hytec showed a Managed E-mail Security Service, SSL
VPN and Load Balancing solutions, and ran a series of BS7799 workshops.
