Information Security Workshop - September 27 2004
Attended by 38 delegates, mostly from London boroughs, the workshop focused on inter-agency working and
information sharing between authorities,
with updates on new initiatives and experience
to-date.
Topics discussed were
the legal issues of information sharing
and requirements of the Freedom of Information
Act (FoI), the Framework for Multi-agency Environments
(FAME) and the availability of open
source software tools for joined-up
services (LGOL-Net). Case studies on
information sharing within the NHS
and Metropolitan Police were also be
presented.
