Having
spent 24 years in the IT industry, Alan has
been involved in many high profile information
security projects, particularly in the government
sector where 'joined-up government' provides
significant benefits, but is a major information
security challenge. He is highly respected for his work
in developing Codes of Connection, the means
by which disparate organisation interconnect
and inter-work.
Alan
is one of Hytec's CLAS accredited consultants
(CESG Listed Advisor Scheme), and is an acknowledged
expert in information security policies, BS7799
and Codes of Connection.
Prior
to joining Hytec, Alan was co-founder and Technical
Director of Danetre Business Systems, a systems
integration company based in Northampton. In
the early 1980's, he worked on the design of
a microprocessor-controlled electromechanical
coin operated telephone. At this time, the use
of microprocessors for this type of operation
was unprecedented.
Alan
is married and lives in Rugby - he has a keen
interest in aviation and is an avid follower
of grand prix racing.
